At United Way of Santa Barbara County we're innovating and working smarter to make life better for 
the children, families, and seniors in our community. We create strategic partnerships with hundreds 
of local agencies and organizations to connect strengths, multiply resources, and implement the best 
plans and programs to IMPROVE EDUCATION, HEALTH, AND FINANCIAL EMPOWERMENT THROUGHOUT SANTA BARBARA COUNTY.

Fun in the Sun - 51% of the students in this six-week program advanced one-half school year or more in Language Arts. 
United for Financial Empowerment - Over 3,100 local low-income families received a total of more than $4.3 million in income 
tax refunds. 
United for Health - Local families saved more than $1.7 million on prescription drugs and health services. 
United for Literacy - 6,000 K-12 students throughout our county are reading at higher grade levels with better comprehension. 
Kindergarten Success Institutes - 71% of pre-schoolers in this program mastered new skills that will help them succeed 
in school.
